Antiquarian Illustrated Rev. John Brown Family Bible, Circa mid 1800s
This bible is a beautifully repaired text from Rev. John Brown, Illustrated with colour produced in the 1800s.
The cover has the original brass trimmings, however the clasps are missing.
As far as I can see this is a complete bible with no pages missing. This book contains a detailed map of the ancient world.
This bible weighs 5.3 KG, it is 34cm tall, 27cm wide and 10 cm thick.
Damage (See above photos for reference):
- Some pages are torn or bent awkwardly on the edges.
- Throughout this book there is scattered foxing.
- There is evidence of amateur repairs done with tape.
- Missing brass clasps that should connect the two covers.
- On the last page a child has drawn across the paper in pencil.
