This is a beautiful Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible printed in 1825 in Philadelphia. Containing both the New, Old Testament and Apocrypha translated from The Latin Vulgate.
This bible has been rebound recently in an attractive contemporary leather style.
As far as I can see, every page is present including illustrations. At the back of the Bible there is a total theological history timeline that folds out of the book. This is usually missing in most of these folios. Every word and illustration is legible.
At the very end of this bible is a theological history in miniature, these pages fold out to be 100cm in length. They are still attached and intact, a rarity for bibles that are 200+ years old..
According to the Historical Catalogue of the Printed Editions of Holy Scripture by T.H. Darlow and H.F.Moule this book would be numbered 1107
