Comprises the end of the book of 4 Kings [2 Kings in modern editions], chapters 20-25 (and part of chapter 19) and the beginning of 1 Chronicles chapters 1-10 (and part of chapter 11).
The Great Bible was the first authorized edition of the Bible in English, authorized by King Henry VIII of England to be read aloud in the church services of the Church of England, These pages would have been in used during his reign. The Great Bible was prepared by Myles Coverdale. This 1540 version is a slightly reduced reprint of the 1539 first edition. Herbert 52.
