Book Of Common Prayer With Ornate (Ox or Elk) Bone Plate Binding, Dated 1865:
This is a beautiful variant of a Book of Common Prayer, featuring an ox or elk bone plating with ornate brass working, still maintain the original clasps. Including a beautiful leather spine with golden wording and gilted edges to the pages.
There is, as far as I can see, no foxing or staining in the text, which is 100% legible with the only noticeable damage being the title page. This has some tape on it and a small piece on the right hand side torn off.
This piece would suit anyone who wants truly beautiful books, seated on in their collection!
